This wasn’t built for perfect people

The Routine Edit started from a pretty honest place: the feeling that every day was a little too reactive, a little too scattered, and somehow both over-scheduled and unproductive at the same time.

Sound familiar? It does to most of us.

The fix wasn’t a 5 a.m. wake-up or a 12-step productivity system. It was smaller than that. A few intentional habits. A morning that felt like yours. An evening that actually wound down. A week that had some shape to it before it started.

That’s what this site is about. Not optimization. Not hustle. Just well-designed routines that make your days feel more like something you built, and less like something that happened to you.

Three things we care about deeply

Morning routines

How you start sets the tone. We cover real, doable morning rhythms that don’t require an alarm at 4 a.m. or a cold plunge.

Weekly planning

The Sunday reset, the weekly brain dump, the review that actually sticks. Systems that take 20 minutes and save you hours.

Daily habits

Small, stackable habits that build on each other. Nothing that asks you to overhaul your life overnight.

“Routines aren’t about control. They’re about creating enough structure that you actually have room to breathe.”

The Routine Edit

Hi, I’m Samantha

Founder, The Routine Edit

I’ve spent my career in a fast-moving industry where the days are long, the inboxes are full, and the margin for error is thin. Somewhere along the way I learned that the people who stay calm and consistent aren’t doing less. They’ve just built better systems.

The Routine Edit is where I share what actually works. Not what sounds good in theory, but the habits, checklists, and rhythms that hold up when life is busy and the to-do list is long. I created this space for the people who are ambitious, a little overwhelmed, and looking for a place that gets it.

Whether you’re overhauling your mornings, trying to get your Sundays back, or just looking for a better way to end the day, you’re in the right place.
